Challenging flying and Bluebells

I've been working on a little project that I'm doing just for fun and also because I simply love being in the woods with Bluebells!

For me, when the Bluebells start to flower and the Beech trees start to show the years first fresh green leaves; that's when I know summer is on the way, and that's always a lovely feeling. I've been coming to these woods near Marlborough now every year for the past several years and I never grow tired of the place. Get there early in the morning and the bird song is a natural chorus that soothes the soul. If I need to relax and unwind, I can't think of a better place to be at this time of year.

My goal for this little project is to produce a short video that simply shows a lovely place. Most of the footage will be from the ground, but I have flown in amongst the trees - it's quite challenging! I've been using the Phantom 4 as it's nice a small to fit in between the trees. It also has collision avoidance, which is great when you are flying towards a tree - it will automatically stop a couple of feet in front of the tree rather than plough straight into it - which comes in handy! Sadly though this only works when flying forwards. So if you fly backwards or sideways you can still crash into things, so you still have to be careful. I reckon the phantom 5 will solve that problem...

I have a couple more visits planned before I have all the material I need, so hopefully the weather will be obliging and let me finish the project. With the condition of the Bluebells when I left them on Thursday I reckon I have 1-2 weeks left to get this finished, fingers crossed!
